Hirtenberger is mainly focused on the production of mortar systems and ammunition for mortars, howitzers, tanks, etc.

Hirtenberger AG consists of four business lines which are operationally managed as individual companies:

Hirtenberger Defence Systems: It provides conventional ammunition solutions for international Armed Forces. Hirtenberger Defence Systems develops quality and precision ammunition for 60 mm, 81 mm and 120 mm mortars.

• 105 mm and 155 mm howitzer ammunition

Hirtenberger Automotive Safety: It offers pyrotechnical components for occupant protection systems. In additional, it also offers a range of pyrotechnical activators, which are integrated into the active headrests, adaptive steering columns, and active pedestrian protection systems.

Precision punching and pressing works: It produces punched, pressed, and bent parts, mainly for manufacturers of measuring apparatus and consumer electronics, and the automotive industry.

Industrial equipment: It plans, installs, and sells applications and comprehensive solutions for assembly projects, robots and industrial plants.

Company is also active in project engineering for turn key ammunition factories and offers individual machines and tools for the production of ammunition as well as for training facilities.
