Grenade Launchers have been in service throughout the world for more than half a century – supplying fire power against light armor and infantry targets to a range of 350-400 meters. However, experience has shown that even after extensive training, achieving reasonable accuracy is problematic and the sights are only useful during daylight hours. These problems set a real tactical limitation.
MEPROLIGHT has solved the problems by developing a dual illuminated optical collimating sight. Functioning under all lighting and weather condition for 5-8 years without the use of batteries or any other external source of power, the sight provides a 24 hour a day solution for the fighter. The dual illuminated GLS optical sight is a real technological breakthrough. The light weight, compact unit, only 62mm (2.44 in) long, mounts with three different mounting adaptors to standard top and side rails.
Achieving reasonable accuracy - day or night - is no longer a problem. Aiming with two eyes open, simply superimpose the illuminated dot in the sight window onto the target and shoot.
