SkyEdge II is designed and optimized for broadband communications via satellite supporting data, VoIP and video applications. An excellent solution for broadband IP networks with high-speed inbound requirements, SkyEdge II offers a high performance and cost-effective way to deliver the communications services that enterprises, carriers, service providers and governments require. SkyEdge II adds new capabilities to Gilat's industry-leading SkyEdge family of VSAT products.

SkyEdge II highlights:

• Highly efficient - supports higher modulation such as 16APSK/32APSK for outbound channels and QPSK/8PSK for inbound channels, reducing space segment costs
• Full modulation / coding adaptivity for both outbound and inbound channels at multiple levels
• Scalability from small networks numbering tens of VSATs and small initial space segment requirement starting from 500 KHz to very large networks and a fully saturated transponder
• High performance - higher Inbound rates of 4Mb/sec and up to 135Mb/sec per outbound channel
• Designed for reliability and high MTBF, based on Gilat's extensive experience in deployments in rural and harsh environments
• Standards-based - DVB S2- ACM outbound and DVB-RCS inbound. SkyEdge II's DVB-RCS implementation is the same as the SkyEdge DVB-RCS certified VSAT, with additions such as DVB-S2 ACM.

SkyEdge II is RCS-compliant and will be submitted to the SatLabs Qualification Laboratory for testing.

SkyEdge II VSAT Suite
The SkyEdge II VSAT Suite provides the appropriate VSAT for each use. Some VSATs can be tailored with expansion cards, adding capabilities rather than requiring purchase of a new VSAT.

SkyEdge II IP - IP Router. Enables high performance broadband IP and multicasting applications to individual or multiple business locations.

SkyEdge II Extend - Enterprise VSAT: High performance broadband IP and LAN Interconnect for enterprise locations.

SkyEdge II Access - Multi Service. Modular design with two expansion slots supporting high performance broadband IP, VoIP, and Video to rural and enterprise customers.

SkyEdge II Pro - SkyEdge II Pro is a modular, two way VSAT enabling broadband IP access, and multicasting to one or many business or rural locations. Mesh capability ensures reduced delays for VSAT to VSAT communications.

SkyEdge II NetEdge - NetEdge is a high-performance satellite communications solution, specifically designed to meet the requirements of multi-star private networks for corporations as well as for cellular backhaul applications.
