ACE DuraFlo Celebrates Drinking Water Week with the Launch of the First of Its Kind LeadSmart® Lead Protection Plan

ACE DuraFlo Systems, the nation’s largest franchisor of potable water pipe rehabilitation services and licensor of the patented ePIPE epoxy coating technology, is celebrating Drinking Water Week, May 7-13, 2017, with the launch of a one-of-a-kind program called the LeadSmart Lead Protection Plan.

The first of its kind, the LeadSmart Lead Protection Plan includes on-site water testing for lead in drinking water, identifying sources of lead in a piping system and carrying out corrective actions that will bring a property’s drinking water into compliance with the U.S. EPA guideline for lead in drinking water.

According to the EPA, lead can cause serious health problems including damage to the brain and kidneys, and can interfere with the production of vital red blood cells. Infants, young children and pregnant women are particularly vulnerable to the effects of lead exposure.
