Celebrity Chef Robert Irvine Named Keynote Speaker for Bunker Labs Philadelphia, The Muster 2017

Bunker Labs Philadelphia, a peer-learning environment for veteran entrepreneurs, today announced that Chef Robert Irvine will deliver the keynote address for The Muster 2017, Bunker Labs PHL annual day-long fundraising summit celebrating the success and achievements of veteran entrepreneurs in the Philadelphia region. Muster 2017: Innovate & Inspire will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Pennovation Center opening at noon.

In addition to Chef Irvine, The Muster 2017 will feature Major General “Spider” Marks (Ret.), former Commanding General, U.S. Army Intelligence Center and was the senior intelligence officer for the 2003 liberation of Iraq. Since retiring from the US Army, General Marks has served in a variety of executive roles as a business leader, entrepreneur and military analyst for a host of media outlets. Today he provides leadership consulting for the Thayer Leader Development Group.

“We are elated that in just our second year, we’re able to have the support of such high-profile individuals as Chef Irvine and General Marks to share their personal stories to further inspire our attendees,” said Joe Witte, Executive Director of Bunker Labs PHL and a former Captain in the US Army. “The response from last year’s Muster has been incredibly positive and we believe the lineup of guests, businesses and supporters we’re assembling for Muster 2017 will help everyone to leave even more inspired.”

Chef Irvine, host of Restaurant Impossible, will share his personal stories of joining the Royal Navy at the age of 15, spending the following 10 years touring Europe aboard various naval ships including Her Majesty’s Royal Yacht Britannia. He will also be discussing launching his career in food service and entertainment, and why he believes it’s his duty to give back to service members at every chance he gets.

In addition to those mentioned above, The Muster, sponsored by JPMorgan Chase and Comcast, will feature even more dignitaries, successful entrepreneurs and authors for a day of panels and fireside chats showcasing their businesses, and the Idea Lab from leading businesses and other military leaders. The day will end with a celebration and “Beef & Beer” hosted by Mission BBQ and Tito’s Vodka.

All veterans, former military, entrepreneurs and business leaders are welcome. While the Muster Philadelphia is open to everyone, veterans can attend free of charge.
