Red Dot Corporation Adds New Aftermarket Customer Service Leadership

Today, Red Dot Corporation, a leader in heating and air conditioning for commercial and military vehicles, announced the addition of Brian Kennedy as the company’s new strategic sourcing manager.

Kennedy will align Red Dot’s sourcing with the demands of the aftermarket segment. Bringing his vendor and inventory experience to Red Dot, Kennedy will serve as a bridge between operations and sales—synergizing the company’s internal and external strategies, particularly in the aftermarket segment.

In addition, Kennedy will lead the company’s aftermarket customer service team. Through quick, responsive support, he will work to cement Red Dot as the first and only call distributors will ever need to make.

“When our distributors grow, we grow. With more than two decades of experience with aftermarket distributors, Brian knows that better than anybody,” said Pat Carroll, vice president of sales at Red Dot. “Warranty, delivery, quality, price— whatever a distributor’s need or question, Brian can answer it. I’m excited that Brian is joining Red Dot, and I look forward to his work across our entire aftermarket segment to support our distributors’ growth.”

Kennedy joins Red Dot from Bergstrom Inc., where he was aftermarket purchasing manager. At the rival HVAC manufacturer, Kennedy facilitated the management of the company’s aftermarket product line, negotiating prices with vendors, collaborating with marketing and sales, and identifying vendors for new market growth. Prior to that role, Kennedy spent nearly two decades in purchasing and inventory.

Kennedy’s hire coincides with the addition of John McCormack, senior supply chain manager, as Red Dot renews its effort to examine every aspect of the company’s supply chain and sourcing to identify potential areas of cost and delivery efficiency, highlighted by the recent creation of the chief operating officer position.

“I’m delighted to join Red Dot and support its aftermarket segment,” said Kennedy. “I’ve always shared Red Dot’s belief in putting the distributor first— and, as we align all of Red Dot’s internal and external goals and tactics, I’m confident that we can help our distributors thrive even more.”

Kennedy is one of several major aftermarket personnel additions, alongside Ken Montelongo, aftermarket regional manager; and Scott Latimer, aftermarket regional sales manager. With improvements to sales, customer service, supply chain and sourcing, Red Dot aims to equip distributors with the tools they need to succeed.
