Savi to Become the First Supply Chain Analytics Provider to Meet FedRAMP Certification

Savi®, an innovator in big data/machine learning analytic solutions, supply chain management software and sensor technology, today announced that it is in the rigorous process of obtaining Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) compliance. Savi strives to become the first supply chain analytics provider to achieve this distinction marking a milestone for the company’s ongoing commitment to providing solutions to the US government.

The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is a government-wide program that provides a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. FedRAMP drives government agency cloud adoption by providing cloud service providers (CSPs) with a single accreditation that is usable by all federal agencies. By selecting a CSP that provides cloud solutions with a FedRAMP SaaS-level certification, agencies are assured that the required security standards are met, saving them time and money. The FedRAMP approach employs a “do once, use many times” framework that saves an estimated 30 to 40 percent of government costs.

“Savi, which has been working with the US government, specifically the Department of Defense, for over 25 years, is honored to be the first supply chain analytics provider on its way to receiving this endorsement,” said Rosemary Johnston, Vice President of Government Sales and Operations. “Our innovative supply chain solutions, which leverage the power of the Internet of ‘Things’ (IoT)/ Network of ‘Things’ (NoT) and prescriptive data analytics, will provide the US government with complete, real-time transparency across its global supply chain, making it more efficient and effective.”

Savi Visibility™ delivers the ability to see end-to-end movement of multiple mode shipments and precisely predict when shipments will arrive at their destination. While other supply chain software solutions rely on mostly human generated Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) feeds, Savi solutions consume and integrate billions of live streaming data points from the IoT, sensor readings, GPS, telematics and ocean vessel locations to reveal comprehensive supply chain visibility. Savi’s machine learning models are applied to massive, live data streams to predict ETAs that are accurate within minutes — giving government agencies efficient and effective supply chain operations.

Savi Visibility customers saw an improvement in ETA forecasting that was six times more accurate than planned ETAs using live streaming data alone. And after applying machine learning, Savi Visibility produced ETAs that were on average 20 times more precise over time.

Because Savi Visibility can alert on late or trending late shipments, early arrivals, deviations from plan, and cargo tampering, supply chain managers can focus attention where it’s needed. With a verified factual view of in-transit shipment and accurate ETAs, supply chain program managers can confidently make real-time decisions, improve supply chain orchestration, increase customer and partner trust, and enhance the security of high-value goods.
