Grant Thornton opens nominations to North Carolina 100®

Grant Thornton LLP is calling for nominations to the Grant Thornton North Carolina 100® (NC100) program, which recognizes the substantial impact of private companies in North Carolina. Since 1984, the NC100 has ranked the state’s largest private companies by revenue in the most recent fiscal year. Applications are being accepted now through Aug. 23.

“We created the NC100 program 33 years ago to highlight the unbelievable talent and innovation happening with North Carolina companies,” said Dave Wedding, Market Territory Leader, Mid-South, Grant Thornton LLP. “We’ve seen tremendous growth and change in our state since then, and the companies on this list are often the initiators of that progress, something we want and need to celebrate.”

The 2016 NC100 included 16 companies reporting revenue of $500 million or more, and last year’s award-winning companies collectively employed more than 97,000 people.

To participate, companies must be privately-held. Winners will be featured in a fall issue of Business North Carolina, North Carolina’s largest business magazine.
