Philadelphia Union Player Charlie Davies and Nationally Renowned Sports Medicine Experts Convene for 18th Annual Philadelphia Sports Medicine Congress

    WHAT:   Keynote speaker Charlie Davies, Philadelphia Union Forward, and some of the most nationally recognized experts in sports medicine will gather for the 18th Annual Philadelphia Sports Medicine Congress, presented by
            the Aria - 3B Orthopaedics.


            Leading physicians, physical therapists and athletic trainers from across the country will discuss the most recent advances in sports medicine that are helping athletes of all levels of competition overcome injuries
            that affect their play and everyday lives. Special guest Charlie Davies will also be on-site to discuss how sports medicine is integral to athletes in professional sports.


            To honor several individuals for their outstanding work in sports medicine, Gary W. Dorshimer, MD, will receive the Joe Torg Award for his achievements as Assistant Program Director, Primary Care Sports Medicine
            Fellowship Program, CHOP; Section Chief, General Internal Medicine, Pennsylvania Hospital; and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine. In addition, Bill von Leer, MA, LAT, ATC, will receive the Ted Quedenfeld
            Award, to honor his outstanding work as an athletic trainer and community involvement.
