DynCorp International Awarded National Training Center-Fort Irwin Contract

The U.S. Army Sustainment Command awarded DynCorp International (DI) a task order contract modification for mission support services at the U.S. Army National Training Center (NTC) in Fort Irwin, CA. In support of the 916th Sustainment Brigade and OPS Group under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP) IV contract, service performance began May 26, 2017 with a 12-month option period to begin September 13, 2017. The contract modification is valued at $123 million for services requiring more than 800 personnel.

“Expanding LOGCAP IV’s use to include a U.S. installation serving training and contingency efforts is a smart move by the government and we appreciate their confidence in DI’s ability to provide mission essential services for the U.S. Army’s premiere training center,” said DI’s LOGCAP IV vice president, Rob Tillery.

Under this task order, DI provides support to ten Brigade Combat Team (BCT) annual rotations, with additional requirements to maintain the NTC Operations Group Observer/Controller tactical vehicles and a commercial vehicle fleet in support of the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. Support includes but is not limited to: fuel, munitions, ground and communications and electronic maintenance, multiclass supply, Common User Land Transportation (CULT), transient billeting, and operations.

“It is an honor to play a part in the 916th Support Brigade and NTC Operations Group’s mission to exercise mission command for sustainment support across the NTC area of operations,” said DI’s LOGCAP IV project manager at Fort Irwin, Phil Mead. “Their success in preparing trained and ready forces for worldwide contingency operations is our success.”

LOGCAP is a Department of Army regulatory program providing a broad range of contracted logistics and support services to augment U.S. and allied forces.
