MOKAN and Ygrene Energy Fund to Host Information Session for Minority Contractors

Ygrene Energy Fund, Inc., a leading national provider of PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) financing, today announced that it will co-host, with MOKAN, an information session for minority contractors in St. Louis on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 4:30–7:30 p.m. at the Set the PACE St. Louis Office located at 1530 South Second Street.

The session, entitled PACE Financing: Growing Your Business, will be held in partnership with MOKAN, a St. Louis local minority contractor association dedicated to workforce development, pre-employment education, and minority contractor development and inclusion. Ygrene’s partnership with MOKAN is helping to drive the program’s expanded minority outreach, workforce training, and apprenticeship programs.

At the information session, St. Louis contractors can learn more about YgreneWorks™, an award-winning PACE financing program that provides homeowners with 100 percent upfront financing for a wide variety of cost-effective, energy efficiency and renewable energy home improvements. The YgreneWorks program recently came to St. Louis, adding residential financing to Set the PACE St. Louis, which was launched in 2013 and has completed some of the largest commercial PACE projects in the region including comprehensive energy efficiency upgrades on historic buildings and redevelopment of underutilized properties and vacant buildings to help revitalize the region’s urban core.

Exceeding $4B in project funding nationally, PACE financing has grown in its appeal due to a track record of attracting private capital (as opposed to taxpayer funds) to power one of the most successful public policy and local economic development initiatives in the United States. More than $3.5B in funding has been for residential properties. This means approximately nine-tenths of the savings, jobs created and environmental benefits realized have been due to homeowners and contractors having access to this innovative financing tool.
