Graña y Montero Extends Mining Services Contract with Minera La Zanja for US$ 30 Million

Graña y Montero S.A.A. (NYSE:GRAM) (BVL:GRAMONC1) (“the Company” or “Graña y Montero”) a leading Engineering and Construction company, announced today that STRACON GyM, a subsidiary of Graña y Montero Group, formalized today an extension to the contract signed in 2010 with Minera La Zanja SRL, a subsidiary of the company Buenaventura, for approximately US$ 30 million, to extend the term of mining services for an additional 12 months, counted from January 1 to December 31, 2018.

La Zanja is an open pit gold and silver mine located in Cajamarca department, Pulan district, Peru, and is located between 3,200 and 3,600 m.a.s.l., which represents a technical and human challenge for the more than 500 workers working on the project.

Stracon GyM has been developing the construction and operation service since April 2010, comprised by the movement of approximately 68 million tons of ore and debris, with outstanding safety indicators.
