EQT Foundation Awards Nearly $4M During First Half of 2017

The EQT Foundation awarded grants and scholarships during the first and second quarters of 2017 totaling nearly $4 million. Approximately 44 non-profit organizations throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia received funding for programs that focus on education, diversity, community & economic development, environment, and arts & culture throughout EQT Corporation’s operating areas. Additionally, through the Foundation’s EQT Scholars program, scholarships are providing children from the Pittsburgh community with access to outstanding Pre-K through 12 educational opportunities.

As the charitable arm of EQT Corporation, a Pittsburgh-based energy leader, the EQT Foundation helps communities prosper by supporting education – especially STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) disciplines; encouraging development of diverse neighborhoods; supporting the environment and preserving local natural resources; and sponsoring programs that foster an appreciation of arts and culture.
