AECOM Joins Alliance of Fort Gordon in Support of the Fort Gordon Cyber District

AUGUSTA, Ga. and AIKEN, S.C., Aug. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Alliance for Fort Gordon, today announced that AECOM, a world-leading technology and engineering firm located in Aiken, SC, showed continued support for the Fort Gordon Cyber District with the presentation of a $25,000 donation. Hamp McManus of AECOM presented the check to Tom Clark, executive director of the Alliance for Fort Gordon, in support of economic development and growth planning efforts.

The mission of the Alliance for Fort Gordon has changed since 2003 when its focus was ensuring Fort Gordon was not a victim of the 2005 Base Closure and Realignment Commission (BRAC). With ARCYBER, Army Cyber Command and other Intel related agencies relocating most of their operations to Fort Gordon over the past few years, the mission has evolved to "Promote, coordinate and advocate for the Fort Gordon Cyber District to stimulate investment in cyber-growth and capitalize on opportunities for the benefit of all."
