Redbrick Health joins panel discussion, "Our Favorite Recent Studies and Why We Think You Should Love Them," at HERO Forum 2017

MINNEAPOLIS, Sept. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- RedBrick Health, a leader in health and well-being solutions that deliver a better employee experience and a stronger Culture of Health, announces its return to HERO Forum 2017 in Phoenix, September 12-14, at the Arizona Grand Resort and Spa. RedBrick Health, a patron sponsor, will share research results and innovations during an expert panel discussion and breakout sessions.

Nathan Barleen, director of research and health strategy at RedBrick Health, will join the HERO panel entitled "Our Favorite Recent Studies and Why We Think You Should Love Them" on Wednesday, September 13. Barleen will be joined by fellow panelist Glorian Sorensen of Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and moderator Ron Goetzel, chair of the board of directors at HERO and of IBM Watson Health and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

During this session, Barleen will present research recently published by RedBrick on outcome-based incentives and their efficacy in driving better outcomes than participation-based incentives. Published in the March 2017 issue of Journal of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, this large-scale landmark study finds that outcome-based incentive designs that require participants to meet a standard for health measurements--like blood pressure, BMI and cholesterol--produce no better results than those programs that simply reward engagement in healthy activities.

This year's HERO Forum focuses on the generational shift and increase in diversity within the workplace. Forum sessions will highlight how these changes impact industry policies, as well as workplace environment and culture.

Eric Zimmerman, chief marketing officer at RedBrick Health, will lead a research-focused breakout session, sharing evidence-based best practices for achieving real, meaningful engagement--not just clicks--while avoiding pitfalls in program design. Zimmerman will share case studies as well as large-scale results, illustrating ways to avoid "toxic" wellness program designs, to measure and build a stronger Culture of Health, and to successfully create a stronger experience for today's cross-generational workforce.

Join RedBrick Health for our panel discussion, "Our Favorite Recent Studies and Why We Think You Should Love Them" on Wednesday, September 13, at 4:00 p.m. Additionally, Zimmerman's breakout session will take place on Wednesday, September 13, at 10:45 a.m.
