Atlantic BT Acquires BoostSuite to Add Revenue-Boosting Advertising App to Its Web Service Offerings

RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Raleigh, NC-based technology firm Atlantic BT has added to its arsenal of web service tools, acquiring BoostSuite, a Durham, NC-based digital advertising startup.

The BoostSuite application attracted Atlantic BT's interest with its rapid adoption by more than 42,000 digital retailers. The SaaS service helps these retailers - who often struggle to acquire new customers profitably - launch highly effective display advertising campaigns on the Google Display Advertising network.

BoostSuite works by using a proprietary algorithm to match each retailer in their cooperative digital advertising network with other businesses in the network, which enables their customers to achieve breakthrough advertising performance.

The platform has grown to reliably deliver results that are 5.5 times better than the industry average at just 10% the traditional cost of advertising with Google. Store owners on leading ecommerce platforms Shopify, BigCommerce, Weebly, SquareSpace, and Magento have flocked to BoostSuite because of the simple setup process and extraordinary results.

"In just a few short years, we've assembled a map of retail supply and demand in the Google Display Advertising network," said Aaron Houghton, co-founder and CEO of BoostSuite.

Houghton, a serial entrepreneur and co-founder of iContact, founded the company in 2012 with former iContact senior digital marketer Daniel Smith. Their goal in creating the company was to allow small business owners to skip the learning curve inherent to digital marketing and move straight to successfully increasing their revenue and customer bases.

Haley Campbell, founder of Vancouver BC-based retailer Beluga Baby initially found BoostSuite in the Shopify app marketplace. Since launching an advertising campaign on the platform, she has had trouble keeping up with the demand while her online sales have soared by an additional 25% every quarter since. "I blame BoostSuite," she jokes.

BoostSuite is the second acquisition Atlantic BT has made in the last 12 months after their October 2016 acquisition of Blaze, a website content audit platform and content strategy services company. Atlantic BT and BoostSuite had worked together for over a year before the recent deal.

BoostSuite co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer Daniel Smith was "excited about the opportunity to work more closely with the brilliant marketing team at Atlantic BT to take BoostSuite's technology to new markets."

The feeling is mutual, according to Jon Jordan, CEO of Atlantic BT: "The BoostSuite technology is unique and compelling in a marketplace crowded with mediocre marketing and advertising solutions," he said. "As Atlantic BT builds a powerful suite of online products including Blaze and BoostSuite, we look forward to making our customers more successful with this combination of software and expert services. We're excited to begin writing the next chapter of the BoostSuite story as we put their unique technology to work for larger retailers and customers in the United States and around the world."
