Former DHS Deputy Under Secretary for Management, Chris Cummiskey Named Senior Advisor at HSDBC

Chris Cummiskey, a former DHS official, has been named a Senior Advisor to the Homeland Security & Defense Business Council. Council Senior Advisors consist of a select group of experts, most of whom are former high-level public officials who possess unique expertise in the Homeland Security Enterprise.

Cummiskey served for almost six years at DHS as Deputy Under Secretary for Management and Acting Under Secretary for over a year. He currently runs his own consulting firm, Cummiskey Strategic Solutions, LLC, specializing in cybersecurity, information technology, and management. Before moving to Washington to serve at DHS, Chris was the State of Arizona’s CIO. He also spent two terms as a State Representative and four as a State Senator in the Arizona State Legislature,, where he was recognized as a leader in emerging technologies, economic development, and education reform.
