Four Field Service Software and Applications Vendors Named as IDC Innovators

International Data Corporation (IDC) today published an IDC Innovators report naming four field service vendors with revenue under $100 million.

The following field service providers have been recognized as IDC Innovators, with technologies tailored to manufacturers of complex products: Fieldbit, Infomill Inc., MapAnything, and Mobile Reach.

Fieldbit provides a collaborative platform for field service workers using augmented reality, smartphones, and smart glasses. Infomill Inc. offers an industry cloud that delivers real-time product information to more than 50,000 field technicians in the HVAC market. MapAnything delivers a hardware agnostic, cloud-based software platform for tracking manufacturing equipment and assets. Mobile Reach is an enterprise mobile app company that offers easily integrated field-service applications that also operate in offline environments.

"These vendors reflect an awareness of the unique challenges of field service processes and seek to deliver efficiencies or new capabilities for technicians, service departments, and customers. Their offerings expand the impact that field service processes can have on business levers such as revenue, costs, and customer loyalty," said Heather Ashton, research manager for IDC's Manufacturing Insights group.

The new report, IDC Innovators: Field Service for Manufacturing, 2017 (IDC #US43045717), profiles field service vendors who specialize in manufacturing and offer an innovative technology or a groundbreaking new business model or both. The IDC Innovators research document examines field service for manufacturing providers with revenue of less than $100 million with a product, service, or business model with a specific use case.

About IDC Innovators

IDC Innovators reports present a set of vendors – under $100M in revenue at time of selection – chosen by an IDC analyst within a specific market that offer an innovative new technology, a groundbreaking approach to an existing issue, and/or an interesting new business model. It is not an exhaustive evaluation of all companies in a segment or a comparative ranking of the companies. Vendors in the process of being acquired by a larger company may be included in the report provided the acquisition is not finalized at the time of publication of the report. Vendors funded by venture capital firms may also be included in the report even if the venture capital firm has a financial stake in the vendor's company.
