With interest in AI exploding across all segments of business, one of the biggest inhibiting factors to adoption is the shortage of qualified data scientists and engineers. According to a survey by IBM conducted in early 2017, the annual demand for the roles of data scientist, data developers, and data engineers will reach nearly 700,000 openings by 2020. In addition, the number of jobs for all US data professionals will increase by 364,000 openings to 2,720,000 by 2020 according to IBM. In fact, CrowdFlower's 3rd annual 2017 Data Science survey found that 75% of the respondents say they get calls for a new job several times a month.
