Node.js Foundation Membership Grows Globally Across Multiple Industries

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 4, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- NODE.JS INTERACTIVE -- The Node.js Foundation, a community-led and industry-backed consortium to advance the development of the Node.js platform, today announced Bitnami, Chef, HackerOne, Keymetrics, ^Lift Security, Profound Logic and SafetyCulture have joined the Foundation as Silver Members to help continue the growth, stability and success of this universal platform.

Node.js is a JavaScript runtime environment used by startups and enterprises alike for everything from enterprise applications, robotics, API engines, cloud stacks and mobile websites. Its lightweight architecture and modularity allow it to power some of the most widely used websites like Netflix, Airbnb, Twitter, PayPal, Walmart, Yahoo! and more. Used by nearly 9 million people worldwide, the platform is a key driver in digital transformation and is quickly becoming the de facto platform for serverless, microservice-based and containerized workloads.

The annual conference Node.js Interactive starts today with more than 700 developers descending on Vancouver, British Columbia to fine tune their Node.js skills. Influential project community and technical leaders will preview the Node.js roadmap in keynotes like The Node.js Technical Roadmap and Node.js Wave 6, led by Technical Steering Committee members James Snell and Myles Borins.

"Our members' support is incredibly important to the Foundation's work to provide infrastructure, develop certifications and to conduct collaborative and learning events to meet the demands of new developers coming into the project and enterprise users," said Mark Hinkle, Executive Director of The Node.js Foundation. "We are excited to welcome these innovative companies into our community and greatly appreciate their commitment to the stability, security and growth of the Node.js platform."
