CompTIA CSA+ Certification Approved for DoD Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill., Oct. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- CompTIA, the leader in vendor-neutral skills certifications for information technology professionals, said today the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) has added CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+) to its list of approved certifications for the DoD cyberspace workforce.
Following a rigorous department review, CompTIA CSA+ is now included in DoD Directive 8570.01-M, which details requirements for the training, certification and management of the department's cyberspace workforce.

DoD Directive 8570.01-M requires IA technicians and managers to be trained and certified in baseline requirements. CompTIA CSA+ is approved as a baseline certification for five categories of cybersecurity professionals: Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP)-Analyst, CSSP-Incident Responder, CSSP-Infrastructure Support, CSSP-Auditor, and Information Assurance Technical Level II.
