Sara Blackmer named President of RAVE Computer

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich., Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- RAVE Computer is proud to announce that Sara Blackmer has been named President of RAVE Computer. Sara joined RAVE in 2016; she was formerly Vice President/General Manager. Her leadership has touched the entire company, ensuring quality, communication, and continued growth. She succeeds Rick Darter who co-founded RAVE in 1988; he will stay on as the company's CEO. RAVE is a technology consultant and computer manufacturer that integrates world class solutions that empower the digital revolution.

Sara also serves our country as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Air Force Reserve, on the M-TRAC Transportation executive board at the University of Michigan, as well as on Oakland University's school of engineering and computer science executive board of advisors. Prior to RAVE, she was the Director of Government Markets for Pratt & Miller Engineering, Director of Defense Development for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, and an Associate for Booz Allen Hamilton.

Additionally, Rick serves as the Chair of their Modeling, Simulation and Visualization and Immersion (MSV&I) committee; is the Director/ 1(st) Vice President of the National Defense Industry Association (NDIA) Michigan Chapter; and is the Director of the Policy Committee on the Board of the National Modeling and Simulation Coalition (NM&SC). Rick is a founding member and Advisory Board Member of the RAVE CAVE at DC3S, a 3-D immersive center for automated virtual environments that promotes Modeling, Simulation and Visualization in Education and Industry.
