Grant Thornton named one of the fastest-growing brands in government

A Government Business Council (GBC) study of more than 3,700 federal officials identified Grant Thornton as one of 2017’s fastest-growing brands in government.

GBC, the premier research wing of Government Executive Media Group, considered 81 contractors in its Leading Brands in Government study, shortlisting Grant Thornton as one of 18 Fast Movers—firms with an improvement in brand favorability of at least 10 percent in the last year. The study also measured attributes including brand familiarity, experience, expertise, innovativeness, trustworthiness, value, customer service and employee care.

“Our favorability rating jumped more than average among all the brands studied in both 2016 and 2017—reinforcing our continued commitment to delivering truly distinctive client service,” said Carlos Otal, national managing partner of Grant Thornton Public Sector. “We’re particularly pleased that the study ranked Grant Thornton higher on ‘expertise’ than any other firm in our competitive set—proof we’re helping clients at all levels of government solve their more challenging and complex problems.”

“This year’s Leading Brands in Government study shows Grant Thornton is strengthening its brand favorability within the community of government buyers,” GBC Director of Research & Strategic Insights Nicholas McClusky said. “Among our audience of 1.2 million high-level government officials, Grant Thornton is gaining a strong reputation as a preferred contractor, demonstrating high levels of brand familiarity and favorability.”

Grant Thornton opened new offices in 2017 that enhance its presence in markets where it serves government clients. Its new state-of-the-art space in the Washington, D.C., area, designed to maximize cutting-edge technologies and team collaboration, accommodates its growing workforce. Grant Thornton also relocated to a new office in Austin, Texas—a key location for the firm’s work with state and local government clients.

Now in its third year, Leading Brands in Government is Washington’s largest authoritative study on government buyers and their perceptions of top-performing contractors.
