More than a third say they'd give up orgasms to get Trump to leave office

NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Damn Joan, a new editorial brand, asked more than 700 female and gender-nonconforming Americans whether they would give up their orgasms if it would get President Donald Trump out of office--and a whopping 37 percent of respondents said, "Yes, immediately." One commenter added, "I'd even give up wine." Yet, there are some differences in opinion, with 46 percent of respondents saying they "would not give them up for anything." 12 percent who want Donald Trump to stay in office said no to giving up orgasms in exchange.

"We wanted to understand the role orgasms play in the lives of female and gender-nonconforming Americans," says Mikki Halpin, Damn Joan's Editor in Chief. "We covered the basics--how often they had orgasms, how recently, and with whom, but we also asked provocative questions like this one."

Among the survey's other findings:

--When asked, "If your social media accounts automatically announced every time you had an orgasm, what would you do?" 62 percent said they would delete their social accounts immediately. That said, 6 percent said they would start faking orgasms just to up their stats.

-- 68 percent of respondents said that orgasms were extremely or moderately important in their lives. 32 percent said they were either not that important or totally unimportant.

--42 percent of respondents said that during sex, usually both they and their partners have an orgasm (7 percent said that they usually have multiple). Partners also help with orgasm quality: 65 percent of respondents said they have better orgasms with a partner, compared with 26 percent who said they get a better O alone.
