The CapStreet Group Announces the Sale of The Eads Company

The CapStreet Group (“CapStreet”) today announced it has completed the sale of its investment in portfolio company The Eads Company (“Eads”, or “the Company”) to FCX Performance, Inc. (“FCX”). Eads is a leading distributor of flow control products serving the petrochemical, refining and other industrial markets.

“Partnering with the Eads management team has been a great experience as the company has transformed into a marketplace leader,” said Paul De Lisi, a Partner at The CapStreet Group. “Steve Albert and the entire Eads team have been extremely effective executing the Company’s strategic growth plan, which included five add-on acquisitions and a wide range of pricing, operational, and sales initiatives. As a result, Eads has grown to be a best in class company.” “CapStreet was instrumental in the development and execution of our strategic plan,” said Steve Albert, CEO of Eads. “The firm’s investment and support in developing our talent and IT systems capabilities were critical as we pursued a buy and build strategy. They have been an excellent partner, and will be missed going forward. The entire Eads team is excited about the upcoming opportunities offered with the combination of Eads and FCX, which will become the clear market leader in the sector.”

Because of its Houston roots, CapStreet has been particularly active in the industrial distribution and service sectors, successfully partnering with management teams to execute acquisition strategies, optimize operations, and facilitate market-leading organic growth. Other representative investments in the industrial distribution and service sector include GHX, a leading value-added distributor of gaskets and hoses, Distribution International, a leading fabricator and distributor of a comprehensive range of mechanical insulation and related products to industrial and commercial end-markets, and TF Hudgins, a provider of engineered products and services to improve the reliability, efficiency, and performance of compressors, engines, and other industrial machinery.
