Interop Technologies' Entitlement Server Enables WiFi Calling for Nemont's Apple iOS Users

FORT MYERS, Fla., Dec. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Nemont Telephone Cooperative, a facilities-based telecommunications service provider serving parts of Montana, North Dakota, and Wyoming, has selected Interop Technologies((TM)) to assist them with device validation for their subscribers' using Apple(®) iOS devices.

The Entitlement Layer Protocol created by Apple is a proprietary procedure required by each individual operator to support WiFi Calling on iOS devices. WiFi Calling assists operators in strengthening their network coverage and service offerings, while also combatting Over-the-Top (OTT) voice applications. For subscribers, WiFi Calling allows them to use available WiFi networks to make voice calls while in poor coverage areas and reduces their roaming charges during international travel.

Interop's cloud-based Entitlement Server seamlessly integrates into any operators' existing infrastructure and quickly facilitates Apple's requirements by bundling the device enablement and collection of federally mandated emergency contact information (E-911) into one solution. E-911 facilitates the automatic association of a mobile subscribers location to accurately dispatch response teams to the correct location during an emergency. The operator retains individual control over enabling the WiFi Calling feature for their subscribers.

Chris Dwyer, Vice President of Sales Regional US-CALA at Interop Technologies stated: "Operators today must meet growing customer expectations as quickly as possible to remain relevant and prevent churn. Our virtualized solutions deploy quickly and integrate seamlessly, allowing for fast time-to-market and frictionless service migration for the operator."

Interop's Entitlement Server is a part of CorePlusX(SM), a complete IMS Core and IP services suite, including VoWiFi, VoLTE and RCS. With flexible deployment options and dynamic scalability, CorePlusX lets operators customize their services to meet their unique market needs.

Interop Technologies will be exhibiting at Mobile World Congress Feb. 26 - March 1. Learn more at www.interoptechnologies.com/events.
