Investors, Consultants Using eVestment Have Big Interest in Equities in November
ATLANTA, Dec. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Investors and consultants using eVestment in November had a strong interest in equity strategies, with 18 of the top 20 most-viewed strategies among all eVestment users during the month being equity focused, according to the just-released November 2017 eVestment Advantage Viewership Report. Viewership changes can occur for both positive and negative reasons - see more about the report below.
Equity strategies dominated the top viewed lists in most of the geographic regions eVestment tracks in this report as well, except for the United Kingdom, where balanced/multi-asset strategies made a strong showing, with a few fixed income strategies also in the top 20.
A few other interesting points from the November screening report include:
-- BlackRock saw the most strategies in the top 20 list of month-over-month
increases in views globally with three strategies (Strategic Income
Opportunities, Emerging Markets Opportunities and Fixed Income Global
Opportunities) making the top 20 list.
-- The top product by month-over-month change in the proportion of total
reviews was a Japan-focused strategy (Marathon Asset Management LLP:
Japan Equity).
-- EAFE-focused strategies moved to 1(st) place in November in terms of
total products - seven of 20 - in the top most viewed list across all
institutional investor and consultant clients.
-- By asset class breakdown, Canadian clients were the most concentrated,
with equity strategies accounting for all but one product in their top
list.
-- For U.S.-based investors and consultants, there were explicitly more
ex-U.S. universes than U.S.-focused universes within the top 20 universe
list by average reviews per product - five ACWI ex-U.S. subset universes
versus only three U.S.-focused.
The Advantage investment viewership data is generated through the eVestment Advantage solution and based on tracking daily eVestment user reviews of investment universes and products on eVestment. The report looks at Global, United States, United Kingdom, Europe ex-U.K., Asia-Pacific, Canada and Africa-Middle East profile viewership activity among the institutional investors and consultants who use eVestment. The report looks at the most viewed products and universes overall for the past month and the universes and products that saw the most month-over-month growth in views on the site. Changes in viewership can be driven by changing investor demand; positive or negative company news or marketing initiatives; global or local economic or political events; or other factors.
