InventHelp Inventor Develops Safety Lockout for Industrial Valves (NJD-1557)

PITTSBURGH, May 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "I needed to prevent contractors and operators on site from opening valves in the digester," said an inventor from Belleville, N.J. "If the device was not in place, and 1 or more of the valves open, it could have been dangerous or catastrophic, with potential serious injury."

He developed the FAB LOCKOUT DEVICE to serve as a safety lockout device for use on 2-inch-square operator nuts. It works with any standard valve in the water, wastewater, petroleum, natural-gas, aviation, fuel and farm industries. The unit allows the component to be chained and locked out from use. This prevents accidental or unauthorized opening of said valve, which minimizes the risk of injury and/or death. All of this is designed to enhance personal safety.

The original design was submitted to the New Jersey office of InventHelp. It is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers.
