Perinatal Safety Conference June 4 Addresses Maternal And Infant Health Challenges

Rutgers Vice Chancellor to Discuss Disparities in Maternal and Infant Mortality

PRINCETON (May 31, 2018) - The Institute for Quality and Patient Safety at the New Jersey Hospital Association will host the New Jersey Perinatal Safety Conference June 4 at the NJHA Conference and Event Center.

WHAT: New Jersey has one of the nation's highest C-section rates, and the state ranks 35(th) in maternal mortality. This daylong conference of the New Jersey Perinatal Quality Collaborative features presentations and dialogue with hospital leaders, physicians, nurses, educators and others committed to improving outcomes and eliminating disparities in maternal and infant health. Panels will address racial disparities, best practices, maternal substance use disorder and more.
