Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. Selects Scootaround to be Its Exclusive Mobility Equipment Provider
MIAMI, Sept. 27, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. has selected Scootaround to be its exclusive provider of scooter, wheelchair and other mobility equipment rentals. The partnership extends to all three of the company's brands - Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises - and represents a big step towards making cruising more accessible for all passengers.

As an exclusive vendor, Scootaround is the only provider permitted to deliver rented equipment onboard Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises ships. Through Scootaround, passengers on these ships can rent scooters, wheelchairs, powerchairs, rollators, oxygen, hospital beds, Hoyer lifts and other medical equipment.
The cruise industry as a whole has seen a steady increase in the number of passengers requiring mobility assistance, a trend that is likely to continue as the nation's 65+ population grows. The addition of 8 new ships to Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings' fleet through 2027 will further heighten this demand.
