Kudelski Security's World-Renowned Cryptography Expert to Present at Black Hat Europe 2018

CHESEAUX-SUR-LAUSANNE, Switzerland, and PHOENIX, Nov. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Kudelski Security, the cybersecurity division of the Kudelski Group (SIX:KUD.S) today announced that Jean-Philippe (JP) Aumasson, VP technology, and Nathan Hamiel, director of research, will deliver presentations at Black Hat EUROPE 2018 in London, December 5-6.

JP Aumasson, VP Technology, will deliver a presentation titled, "Attacking and Defending Blockchains: From Horror Stories to Secure Wallets." Aumasson's talk will review recent security failures in blockchain systems, Ethereum smart contract issues, examples of bugs in popular Bitcoin software utilities and how to mitigate risks. Aumasson will also discuss the pros and cons of the different types of bitcoin wallets as well as the risks and benefits of hardware-based wallets for individuals, organizations, and trading platforms.

Nathan Hamiel, Director Cybersecurity Research, will deliver a presentation on the need for security professionals to adopt a more agile approach to programs in response to a constantly changing business, technology and security landscape. In "Level Up Your Security Mindset," Hamiel will also talk about the need to move beyond worst-case scenarios and apply the right balance of risk-driven collaboration, innovation and technology to guide security efforts.
