The Greek Defence Companies participate in the DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens 2020
The elite of the leading defence companies of our country have confirmed their participation in the DEFEA 2020 Greek Defence and Security Systems Exhibition, to be held on the 22nd - 24th of July 2020 at the METROPOLITAN EXPO exhibition centre at the Eleftherios Venizelos airport.
At the same time, a fervent interest for participation in the exhibition has been expressed by renowned defence firms from abroad, as well as by leading companies of the defence industry on an international level, further raising expectations for the exhibition which has already been acclaimed as a focal interest event for the defence industry across the length and breadth of South-Eastern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean.
It is worth noting that, in accordance with the international exhibition standards and practices being implemented at the largest international defence systems exhibitions throughout the world, the national booths, as well as the independent defence systems manufacturers will not only expand into the conference rooms of the Metropolitan Expo Exhibition Centre (at the Athens International Airport), but will also expand into the external surrounding facilities, where special demonstrations of cutting-edge systems and equipment will take place.
At the same time, upon relevant requests already submitted, participation and demonstrations by defence aircrafts are expected, as organisers have already consulted with competent bodies for the use of an area within the Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos. Relevant consultation with the Piraeus Port Authority is also underway for demonstrations within the scope of DEFEA 2020 by marine battle crafts and defence systems, as well as by marine security and surveillance systems, all regarded as essential in combating asymmetric threats and terrorist attacks.
It is noted that within the scope of the exhibition and in cooperation with the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence/General Directorate For Defence Investments & Armaments invitations will be sent to official international delegations from countries in Europe, the Balkans, the Middle East and Africa.
DEFEA - Defence Exhibition Athens 2020 is held under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defence - General Directorate for Defence Investments & Armaments and is organised by the largest Greek exhibition organisation company ROTA S.A. in cooperation with the Association of Hellenic Defence Systems Manufacturers (SEKPY).
