Alan Osmolowski and William Tarzia Named Co-Leaders of blumshapiro's New Worcester location

WORCESTER, Mass., Oct. 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Alan Osmolowski and William Tarzia, partners with blumshapiro, have been appointed Co-Leaders for the firm's new Worcester location. The two will oversee operations at blum's new office occupying 5,000 square feet of prime office space in the heart of the city's business district at 100 Front Street.

Osmolowski has over 29 years of experience assisting clients in identifying, evaluating and implementing tax planning strategies that result in significant tax and cash flow savings. He works with other members of the blumshapiro team to address client tax issues and implement innovative and sustainable tax savings strategies. Osmolowski's areas of technical expertise include tax accounting methods, inventory methods, ASC 740, state and local taxation, tangible property regulations, international tax and corporate tax planning.

Osmolowski earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Worcester State University. He also serves the Worcester State University Foundation as a board member of the executive committee and the chair of the audit committee. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, Associated Industries of Massachusetts on the Tax Committee and Med Mates, for which he serves as treasurer.

Osmolowski previously served as Company Commander of A Company 1-181 Infantry National Guard unit in Worcester. In all, he served ten years in the National Guard.

He is a resident of Holden, MA.

Tarzia has 25 years of experience working with public and private entities, including several with international operations. His areas of technical expertise include revenue recognition, equity issuances, complex debt offerings and stock compensation. In addition, Tarzia has extensive experience providing public companies with second accounting firm services such as advising on non-recurring complex accounting issues, new accounting standards implementation, due diligence and SEC filing reviews.

Tarzia earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bentley University. Tarzia is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants and Treasurer of Westborough Athletic Boosters Association.

He is a resident of Westborough, MA.
