Hydrogen Gas Compression, Storage and Dispensing Systems Leader Fluitron Deepens Executive Bench with New Directors of Engineering and Supply Chain

Fluitron, a leading manufacturer of integrated hydrogen gas compression, storage, and dispensing systems, today announced the appointment of Frank Higgins as Director of Engineering at its Hatboro, Pa. facility and of Lee Falgoust as Global Director of Supply Chain. Fluitron is a portfolio company of Ara Partners, a decarbonization-focused private equity firm.

Higgins brings more than 30 years of global engineering leadership experience to Fluitron, having previously held engineering director roles in the mining and vertical transportation systems at Joy Global (now Komatsu Mining Corp) and Otis Worldwide Corporation, in South Africa, USA, China and India. He holds a B.S. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Wales, Swansea, UK and has completed several executive leadership courses at University of Virginia, Duke University and University of Chicago school of business.

"I'm extremely enthusiastic about the opportunities that lie ahead for Fluitron as it takes a leadership position in global decarbonization and continues working to strengthen the Hydrogen supply chain," said Higgins. "Fluitron has a rich history and an enthusiastic workforce that is well-poised to accelerate productivity in this highly-dynamic stage of development of the global hydrogen industry."

Falgoust brings more than 35 years of diverse manufacturing experience to Fluitron, having previously served as Global Head of Supply Chain at Chemring Countermeasures, and having led the engineering and business development teams for Electrical Components International (ECI), where he also led the acquisition of Fargo Assembly. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Temple University, a M.B.A. specializing in International Management from LaSalle University, and a M.S. in Information Technology/E-Commerce from Temple University.

“Fluitron has a long legacy in gas compression technologies, and its products are well poised to unleash the full potential of hydrogen across the globe,” said Falgoust. “I look forward to being part of the team that will build upon that legacy and lead the exponential growth we expect in the coming years.”

Today’s announcement builds on the announcements of a number of recent innovations at Fluitron, including the introduction of a commercialized one (1) ton-per-day hydrogen gas processing system at 520 bar and the manufacturing, testing, installation and PESO (Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organization) approval for the first domestically-built hydrogen dispenser in India.

“We are thrilled to welcome Frank and Lee to Fluitron as Director of Engineering and Director of Supply Chain,” said Linh Austin, CEO of Fluitron. “They will be key members of our senior leadership team, and their diverse skill sets will help us build upon the successful platform that Fluitron has established over the past 47 years. Frank and Lee share our vision for elevating the role of hydrogen in the global energy industry, and we are delighted that they have chosen to bring their experience and passion to the leadership team of Fluitron. Together, we will take the organization into its next phase of growth and innovation as a leader in de-carbonization and the production of renewable clean energy.”
