Alvarez & Marsal Bolsters Energy Expertise Appointing Jay Johnson as a Senior Advisor

Leading global professional services firm Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) has announced the appointment of Jay Johnson as Senior Advisor to its Energy practice. Mr. Johnson’s joining represents the next phase of A&M’s strategic plan to help energy clients maximize value and drive change amidst industry challenges, regulatory changes and economic volatility.

Mr. Johnson’s addition as a senior advisor, coupled with The Carnrite Group joining the firm one year ago, gives A&M a global view into the complex challenges facing the energy industry. With over 500 energy consultants globally and operations in over 30 countries, A&M’s Energy Practice has the operational experience and strategic know-how to solve clients’ complex problems.

Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Johnson spent over 40 years at Chevron in a variety of roles. Mr. Johnson’s international engagements include serving as a Managing Director in Kazakhstan and Australia, and managing operations and projects in London, Kazakhstan, Papua New Guinea and the United States. Most recently he served as the head of global upstream during a period of high price volatility and a shift in focus to disciplined growth with a focus on returns and value.
