Message Broadcast Strengthens Executive Leadership Team with Key Hires

Message Broadcast (the “Company”), a leading provider of customer engagement software for the electric utility industry, today announced the appointment of two executives to support its continued growth. The Company has hired Scott McClintock as Chief Revenue Officer and Alex Wiley as Chief Financial Officer. These hires follow the earlier announcement of Message Broadcast’s acquisition by OceanSound Partners and Energy Impact Partners (EIP) and the appointment of Maulik Datanwala as Chief Executive Officer.

Message Broadcast automates communication workflows for the world’s leading companies, including approximately 50% of the top 25 electric utilities in the U.S. Its software platform enables utilities to orchestrate, personalize, and deliver customer communications at scale and across several critical use cases, including outages, payments, and energy efficiency.

“I am thrilled to welcome Scott and Alex to Message Broadcast during this important inflection point in our journey, as we build a comprehensive customer engagement platform,” said Datanwala. “Both Scott and Alex have proven track records of driving growth acceleration and operational excellence by building and scaling high-performing teams in their respective functions. With their addition to our leadership team, we are well-positioned to rapidly scale and deliver enhanced value to our customers.”

Scott McClintock, CRO, leads Message Broadcast’s go-to-market efforts, including the sales, marketing, and partnerships functions. He has over two decades of sales experience, primarily in the electric utility sector. He joins the Company from Uplight, a leading energy analytics software provider, where he led sales, including customer acquisition, strategic account management, and sales operations. Prior to joining Uplight and its legacy companies in 2015, McClintock held enterprise sales roles at several technology companies, including Digital Lumens, AER, and Nexamp.

“Message Broadcast addresses the critical trends reshaping how utilities engage their customers, including advances in distributed energy, rising consumer expectations, and the increasing number of extreme weather events,” said McClintock. “Our proven value position of helping utilities improve customer satisfaction, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance has galvanized widespread market validation. I look forward to building on Message Broadcast’s strong momentum, while ensuring we preserve our customer-first operating philosophy.”

Alex Wiley, CFO, leads Message Broadcast’s finance organization and is responsible for finance, accounting, treasury, and tax functions. He has over 15 years of experience driving financial planning, reporting, and forecasting at several enterprise software companies. Most recently, Alex was the CFO at Skuid, a cloud application development platform. Prior to joining Skuid in 2023, Alex had leadership roles in finance and accounting at Community Brands and Mitratech.

“I am honored to join during this exciting time in the utility sector,” said Wiley. “Message Broadcast is at the forefront of innovative customer engagement solutions that support the delivery of billions of interactions each year. I expect to build upon the Company’s strong foundation of organic growth and product innovation, while also leveraging my experience driving operational rigor and M&A execution.”
