Labuan Shipyard & Engineering Sdn. Bhd. (LSE), is a leading integrated solutions provider for the oil & gas and marine industries in the Asia Pacific region. It is strategically located in the Federal Territory of Labuan- an idyllic duty-free island lying in the opening of the Brunei bay at 5°16’13″ North and 115°14’13″ East offshore of Sabah in Malaysia.

Its main operations are located in a shipyard that has existed since 1972 which was formerly known as Sabah Shipyard Sdn. Bhd. On 26 September 2005, Radimax Group Sdn. Bhd. and SapuraKencana Petroleum Bhd. took over the facilities, operations and all business activities of this shipyard and renamed it Labuan Shipyard & Engineering Sdn. Bhd.

LSE’s expertise are in marine shipbuilding and ship repair, fabrication of offshore and onshore oil & gas facilities as well as civil engineering. In addition to this, it has a vast experience in constructing power barges of various sizes and is actively involved in the refitting, modernization and scheduled maintenance of naval crafts and paramilitary vessels.

In terms of accessibility, Labuan is ideally located within international and shipping and air routes between the Indian and Pacific Ocean. Sea transport and import/export of goods are well served by one of the best deepwater ports in East Malaysia. By air, Labuan is readily accessible to international destinations via Kuala Lumpur and Kota Kinabalu. Regular ferry services are also available between Labuan and mainland Sabah, Sarawak and Brunei.
