AIRPORT ATM SYSTEM

LETVIS® ATM Airport System is designed for planning and control of air traffic at any level of air traffic services and intended for both civil and military airports, and/or airports with joint civil/military operation. Controllers are provided with the integrated air picture of civil/military air traffic including related supplementary data and supporting functions.

LETVIS® ATM Airport System can be delivered in a variety of customer-specified configurations ranging from working positions/modules to comprehensive ATM system supply that along with other subsystems and equipment (voice communication systems, lighting, power supply, radar systems, consoles & cabinets, etc.) allow for a modernization of existing airports or a supply of new ones as a turn-key project. Optionally, upgrade and/or refurbishment of airport radar systems can be a part of supply. Moreover, a transportable version of airport can be supplied for temporary airports or airfields to be built up.

AREA ATM SYSTEM

Area LETVIS® ATM system is designed for planning, procedural and/or radar control of air traffic at any level of air traffic services provided by Area Control Centre for civil, military or joint operation. Controllers are provided with the integrated air picture of civil/military air traffic including information on structure and utilization of airspace, and other supplementary data/support capabilities.

Area LETVIS® ATM system can be delivered in a variety of customer-specified configurations, ranging from working positions/modules to comprehensive ATM system supply that along with other subsystems and equipment (voice communication systems, radar systems, consoles & cabinets, etc.) allow for a modernization of existing ACCs or a supply of new ACCs as a turn-key project.

TATRAPAN AD - MOBILE COMMAND CENTER

TATRAPAN AD is a mobile AD system designed for command and control of SAM units in real time as replacement of the original K1 system for SAM control of SA-6 series.

System configuration
TATRAPAN AD consists of a hardware set mounted into armoured container located on a chassis of TATRA 815 6x6 vehicle and equipped with:

ASTRA - AIR DEFENCE SYSTEM

ASTRA is a ground based air defence system designed for SHORAD SAM, AAA and MANPADS forces. GBAD forces and weapon systems are controlled from ASTRA mobile command post (MCP) located on a tracked vehicle and equipped with hardware and LETVIS AD software designed for C3I systems applications.

ASTRA C3I system provides the commander with accurate and timely information required for effective control/employment of short range SAM (optionally medium range SAM through modification of SW and communication equipment), MANPADS, and AAA weapon systems.

System configuration
ASTRA system consists of:

  • MCP ASTRA
  • Upgraded PSR (P19)
  • Upgraded SAM of SA 13 series
  • BRAMS, self-propelled AA system
  • Man-portable tactical data terminal for IGLA (SA 16) commander, or
  • IGLA (SA 16) tactical data terminal optionally fielded in tracked armoured personnel carrier (APC) of OT-90 series.

SA-13 SHORAD

SA-13 SHORAD System is intended for engagement of visible air targets - aircraft, helicopters, cruise missiles, etc. The system upgrade consists in modification of control and communication modules and advanced equipment implementation for improvement of combat effectiveness related to centralised command and SA-13 SHORAD system interoperability.

Upgrade purpose:

  • SA-13 SHORAD System integration into C3I systems
  • Data exchange between SA-13 unit and higher echelon
  • Real-time radar data input from the area of interest
  • Improved probability of target detection

TACTICAL DATA SET FOR MANPADS BATTERY

Tactical Data Set of the MANPADS battery commander consists of hardware and software package in order to fulfil following tasks:

RADAR DATA EXTRACTOR AND DIGITAL SCAN CONVERTER

The LETVIS EXT/S is a high performance radar processor which transforms primary radar video outputs - from virtually any air surveillance radar - into high quality digital target reports or track messages suitable for integration into modern control centres.

The LETVIS EXT/S is modular in design and can be configured in any combination of primary radar or weather extractor. The system is interfaced to a control and maintenance console to provide real-time PPI and weather information while providing complete system monitoring, maintenance and recording functions.

MORAD-L-2D PSR

MORAD-L is transportable 2D primary surveillance radar representing the upgraded version of RL4/RL5 radar systems. The upgrade consists in radar overhaul including out-of-date components replacement for advanced ones. Antenna system and transmitter unit are excluded from refurbishment. Supplier guarantees the below specifications and MORAD-L service life for at least 10 years.

The upgrade consists in radar overhaul including out-of-date components replacement for advanced ones. Antenna system and transmitter unit are excluded from refurbishment. Supplier guarantees the below specifications and MORAD-P service life for at least 10 years.

ATC SIMULATORS

The LETVIS SIM system serves the purpose of flight simulation. It is made up by the software module that ensures the control of simulated flights from the user interface, mathematical processing of the simulated aircraft movement and generating the corresponding radio-location information.

LETVIS SIM -based systems provide:

  • all kinds of training of the air traffic radar and procedural controllers
  • air defence dispatchers’ training
  • air defence target interceptors’ guidance training
  • air traffic systems’ development and testing with the use of the simulator acting as an independent source of radar and planning information

There are two modules of LETVIS SIM.

  • PSP pseudo-pilot position to control the flights
  • INS instructor position as a PSP module with extended capabilities for controlling and evaluating the course of lessons.

Number of SIM modules operating independently or in co-operation can be connected in the simulator with one or more students’ positions/groups types according to the required workplace configuration. Allocation of pseudo-pilots’ positions can be changed dynamically by configuring the exercise at the start.
