PM-PRECISION B.V., started its activities under the name Brandt FMI. In early 2014 it was acquired by the PM-GROUP and as of March 18th 2014 the Brandt FMI activities continued under the name PM-PRECISION.

With over 100 experienced technicians, PM-PRECISION is a leading specialist in the production of high precision components. The projects in which PM-PRECISION is involved are always starting with design plans. These design plans form the basis of our production engineering, CNC programming, CNC machining and CNC measuring.

On the one hand PM-PRECISION is active as a high precision supplier to various OEM companies and organizations. On the other hand the high precision components manufactured by PM-PRECISION are integrated in finished products and advanced modules, which are subsequently assembled by the PM-GROUP sister subsidiaries PM-AEROTEC and PM-MECHATRONICS.

Synchrotron

Manufacturing

Cutting
From the first step of its manufacturing processes PM-PRECISION is already focusing on how to realize the required tolerances  for the specific component or high-precision part. Through multiple decades of experience in high precision machining PM-PRECISION knows that a good begin is half the job. The philosophy of PM-PRECISION is to reduce the required amount of material, which has to be machined away to a minimum before starting the job. This realizes multiple beneficial effects. On the one hand this manufacturing strategy reduces the created tension within the material structures to a absolute minimum. The effect ends up in more reliable material tension structures, which makes sub-micron accuracy levels within the high-precision parts possible. On the other hand this manufacturing strategy leads to a cost effective way of manufacturing.

Planing
To create high precision linear and parallel mechanical structures up to 4000mm out of one piece, PM-PRECISION makes use of advanced planing technology. Heat Treatment
PM-PRECISION has decades of experience related to several heat treatment processes and multiple senior skilled employees working within its heat treatment department. To create maximum precision performance related to PM’s precision manufacturing activities, heat treatment is a standard procedure within the company's philosophy. For precision parts it is effective that when maximum accuracy needs to be acquired, additional measures will be made in order to remove the tensions during the manufacturing. The removing of internal tensions takes place by means of furnacing. By heating the part in multiple stages to a higher temperature, the internal tensions will manifest itself. By taking this into account during the process, deviations in size can be limited to a absolute minimum.

Machining
The multi-axis milling and turning centers used within PM-PRECISION are featured with additional axes (up to 13-axis machining center configurations) to reach virtually any surface of the demanded highly complex components of our customers. The programmable milling head rotates and tilts to position the tool to be machined at the most accurate angle thinkable. Electro Chemical Machining (ECM)
PM-PRECISION’s ECM technology is highly suitable for products with a complex 3D geometry in steel and high alloys. ECM is also excellent for products where upper-layer deformations due to more conventional machining techniques are not accepted, as for example is the case with spark erosion.

Honing
Honed surfaces have excellent tribological properties – high bearing area ratio, low surface roughness and defined cross hatch pattern for lubricant retention. Tight bore size and cylindricity control coupled with enhanced tribological characteristics significantly extends the life of bearings. and no lead coarser surface finish for seals.

Measuring
PM-PRECISION offers a wide range of high specific machining capabilities. To keep the optimal control over its processes PM-PRECISION has the ability over an extensive wide range of measuring and inspection systems. Vacuum Technology
