GTV, is a private engineering company specialized in research, development and contracting within new and refined technologies and machinery. GTV considers mechatronics and process automation to be the main areas of competence.

The staff of approx. 30 persons is formed up of qualified specialists, closely linked to the Kaunas University of Technology. More than half of the employees have researchers background and PhD degrees and are experts within own field of interest.

GTV is mainly focused on providing its clients with custom-tailored solutions. The form of final product may vary depending on clients needs from just an idea to fully implemented turnkey project, with designing, manufacturing and post-sales servicing included.

GTV was founded in 1991 by prof., hab.dr. Juozas Gecevicius, who since 1963 till 1991 was with Kaunas University of Technology and took positions of researcher, head of research laboratory, professor and Vice-rector. He has more than 20 years of experience being a leading researcher in defense technology programs during the Soviet period.

Typical projects: development of electromechanical units for submarine navigation system, principal elements for high-precision missile guidance systems, highly efficient multi-purpose vibration-dampening suspensions, etc. Holds authors rights on more than 230 patents.

GTV specialists have developed a number of unique products, e.g. special electric motors to be used in ultra-deep (up to 12 000 meters) boreholes and other.
