GIAX, in cooperation with The Norwegian Ministry of Defence, has over many years, developed tentage and base camp solutions, with the main focus on “the end user”. The Norwegian MOD demands high standards and quality together with simple logistics. This has been of the highest priority during the development period and production. GIAX now wishes to sell this equipment worldwide.

Multipurpose tent

The tent has been developed in close/cooperation with the Norwegian Ministry of Defence in order to cover all needs of a tented camp, phase 2, (established for 3 months plus) for use in both tropical and arctic conditions. It has been tried/tested by Norwegian defence forces in the field, as an accommodation, surgical/hospital, storage tent, also as a dinning hall and chapel. It has even been used as camouflage for containers.

So that the tent can be well utilized in different areas of use, or partitioned into several rooms, GIAX, together with the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, has developed a simple dividing wall that easily separates each section of the tent (3.5m). These can be used as open offi ce areas/hospital.

The partition wall is fitted with a door in the middle for ease of passage, place for the ventilation duct in the corner and a standard lamp in the middle.

GIAX has produced a clothes hanger for the NM240 which can be mounted directly to the tent’s framework. It is very solid and can withstand a lot of weight; legs drop down to give extra support.

It has 24 hooks and all kinds of clothing/equipment can been hung on it, irrespective of weight! Measurement For storage: L=1.75m x H=0.25m. In use: L=3.50m x H=1.70m

The connection tent has been developed in cooperation with the Norwegian Ministry of Defence in order to make the NM240 more fl exible, in that several users can utilize the use of the common entrance, reception or social room.

The tent can also be used as an independent unit.

The connection tent has been developed in cooperation with the MOD for the sole reason as a connection to the NM240, or to connect directly to the kitchen-container delivered by Camp Supply International AS.

Such a connection makes the NM240 well suited as a serving area and dining hall for larger gatherings, the whole kitchen, plus equipment, is easily accessible both for the serving of food and the return of crockery and cutlery for washing etc. Measurements: WxLxH = 6.5 x 6.5 x 2.25m

The Field Washbasin has been developed in cooperation with the medical personnel of the Norwegian Ministry of Defence and is used by personnel who have a need for a high degree of personal hygiene in respect to operations and medical work.

The Washbasin is designed so that everything fits into one aluminium transportation crate that also functions as the base of the Washbasin.

It is equipped with, pump, hot water tank, soap dispenser (operated with elbow), water tap (operated with leg), hose for waste water. It can also be equipped with a hand shower.

The Field Washbasin is designed for personal hygine for personnel who, for a period of time, are confined to a camp, or place, where normal washing facilities are absent in relation to accommodation, dinning areas and places of work etc.

The whole washbasin is designed so that everything fits into one aluminium transportation crate which is also designed to function as the base of the washbasin. The washbasin is equipped with a 25 litre water tank, hose for waste water. Fast assembling/dismantling and easy cleaning. All material is of aluminium, or stainless steal.

FIELD BED

The Field Bed is extremely fl exible and is produced in aluminium ensuring solid construction and long life. It is very flexible and can be delivered in the following variants:

• As a single bed.
• Single bed with fi xtures for mosquito net.
• Single bed with above area covered with veneer for storage of personal equipment, mosquito net can be easily hung in place.
• Single bed with splinter-proof overhead armour, including mosquito secure partitions and bedside table/shelf together with pockets for storage of personal effects.
• As bunk beds

FIELD CHAIR

The field chair has been developed in cooperation with The Norwegian Ministry of Defence, with the intention of covering most needs, during short exercises as well as long term operations.

The chair is extremely solid and is constructed so as to be stable in use, even on uneven ground/surfaces, e.g. tent floors. There are no sharp edges that could cause damage to floor.

Multiuse field table developed by the Norwegian Ministry of Defence.

The table can be mounted in relation to the user’s requirements, as an offi ce/dining hall table, or for private use in accommodation.

It can be screwed together for stability and the legs are adjustable to accommodate uneven ground.

To provide for the privacy of personnel (soldiers), Giax,together with the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, have developed a flexible solution for the partitioning of the NM240 in order to provide the possibility of a living room/bedroom or office.

1 cabin is divided into 2 rooms, but can easily be converted into 1 by removing the partition wall. In this manner one can chose the solution that most suits the individual concerned.

For the best possible environmental climate it is also possible to ventilate via the original ventilation duct of the NM240 and aeration occurs via a mosquito net in the roof.

The cabin can be equipped with different hanging possibilities for personal equipment.

One of many solutions, the choice is unlimited.
