HORIZONTAL DE AVIACION S.A.S. provides aircraft maintenance and repair services, with the ability to repair 8 to 10 aircrafts simultaneously.

Aircrafts with Maximum Gross Weight over 5700 kg:

HORIZONTAL DE AVIACION S.A.S. has been certified as an Aeronautical Repair Workshop ARW (Taller Aeronáutico de Reparaciones – TAR) by the Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aeronautics (Unidad Administrativa Especial de Aeronáutica Civil-UAEAC), under certificate. No. UAEAC-CDF-025 and is authorized to perform maintenance and preventive maintenance services, aircraft alterations and repairs for the following categories:

Aircraft Structure Category:

• Class I.  Mixed aircraft structures with maximum take off weight up to 5700 kg.
• Class II. Mixed aircraft structures with maximum take off weight over 5700 kg.

Power Plant Category:

• Class III.  Turbine engines.

Radio and Navigation Category:

• Class I. Communication equipment.
• Class II. Navigation equipment.
• Class III. Frequency radio pulse equipment (Does not include Radars).

Instruments Category:

• Class I. Mechanical,
• Class II. Electric,
• Class III. Gyroscopic,
• Class IV. Electronic.

Accessories Category:

• Class I. Mechanical Accessories,
• Class II. Electrical Accessories.

Maintenance Services Category:

• Class I. Preventive and corrective maintenance services on engine systems, accessories and components, as well as minor repairs and adjustments, on aircrafts of maximum take off weight up to 5700 kg.
• Class II. Preventive and corrective maintenance services on engine systems, accessories and components, as well as minor repairs and adjustments on aircrafts of maximum take off weight over 5700 kg.

HORIZONTAL DE AVIACION S.A.S. has extensive facilities and premises in the El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, such as:

• Accommodation for support teams and necessary materials.
• Premises for the adequate storing of materials, parts and supplies, duly separated and protected from adverse environmental conditions.
• Premises to adequately preserve and maintain spare parts, assemblies and subassemblies.
• Hangars of about 1540 m2 for aircrafts of up to 35 meters wide and 6.75 meters high.
• Specific areas, such as power plant, hydraulics, instrument, electrical accessories, avionics and painting hangars for the provision of special services.

HORIZONTAL DE AVIACION S.A.S. is employing highly qualified personnel and is continuously improving its human resources. The company is equipped with a facility for the training of the technical and engineering personnel.

HORIZONTAL DE AVIACION S.A.S. is equipped with a power plant shop which has the ability to provide intermediate maintenance services, such as hot section inspection (HSI), gear box inspection and/or installation replacement and removal, as well as compressors adjustment and balance for Garrett turboprop and TPE331 series engines.

HORIZONTAL AVIATION S.A.S. is equipped with a hydraulics shop which has the ability to repair landing gears, wheels, brakes and overall hydraulic system components on CESSNA, PIPER, TWIN COMMANDER and BEECHCRAFT airplanes.

HORIZONTAL AVIATION S.A.S. is equipped with an instruments shop which has the capability to perform inspections, calibrations, repair services and mechanical, electrical and gyroscopic instrument tests for various aircraft models.

HORIZONTAL DE AVIACION S.A.S. is equipped with an avionics shop with the capability to repair, inspect and test the equipment used for in-flight communications, including auxiliary inter-communication systems and all kinds of aircraft systems (radio, navigation or transponder systems) and other similar equipment.

HORIZONTAL AVIATION S.A.S. is equipped with an electrical shop with the capability to perform repairs, overhauls or tests on different electrical accessories, such as aircraft starter generators, pumps, alternators and everything that requires electricity to operate within the aircraft.

HORIZONTAL DE AVIACION S.A.S. is equipped with a painting hangar which has the ability to perform all kinds of aircraft paintings.
