In 2002 and in order to provide a full aeronautical support service, the company Assistance was created; three years later it changed its name into Avianca Services. The enterprise is a business unit of Avianca, specializing in the supply and marketing of airport services, airline maintenance, aircraft workshop and training courses to the aviation and related sectors, backed by over nine decades of tradition, experience, commitment and the quality seal of the airline.

Avianca Services provides consultancy and serves the needs of enterprises engaged in air transportation activities of passengers and cargo with the support of a team and technical equipment certified by authorities and recognized by the industry.

The company's mission is to provide and market airport, engineering, maintenance and training services in Latin America with Avianca’s quality seal and experience, exceeding customers’, shareholders’ and employees’ expectations.

In order to maintain quality standards in all its processes and services, Avianca Services has the following certifications:

In engineering and maintenance: Brazil, ANAC (National Civil Aviation Agency). Chile, DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation). Colombia, UAEAC (Colombian Civil Aviation Authority) U.S.A., DOT (Department of Transportation) and FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). Europe, EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency). Venezuela, INAC (National Civil Aviation Institute) and ISO 9001 certification.

In calibration: U.S.A., ACLASS.

In training: DGR (Dangerous Goods) certification. Colombia, UAEAC and IATA (International Air Transport Association) certification.

Passengers’ Care: the company has personnel qualified to the highest standards to provide all required assistance from the registration process, offering the best service to customers and each one of their passengers.

Ramp Care: for this service Avianca can count on high quality ground equipment as well as on qualified personnel (ISAGO - "IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations" - certification); for this reason the company has the capability to provide the best service to any type of aircraft WB Wide Body and Narrow Body NB cabin.

  • Loading of drinking water, bathroom drainage and cleaning,

As for additional services, the organization is also able to provide starters, air conditioning, tow bar, bus, truck ladder, push back, baggage tractor and other equipment.

Operational Office: Avianca Services offers ramp coordination services for takeoff and landing, SITA (Society of International Aeronautical Telecommunications) directive, weight and balance, weather support and monitoring of the flight within VHF (Very High Frequency).

Charter and Private Flights: the company has the solid infrastructure, experience, security and qualified personnel to provide quick and timely attention to the special flights, making available to its customers nationwide a full coverage in order to meet all their needs and requirements.

Engineering & Maintenance Services

Major Services: AVIANCA SERVICES, has the human and technical resources to offer major services in the country’s main cities, Bogota and Medellin (Rio Negro). In Bogota, the company has three hangars (three aircraft docks type NB (Narrow Body) and one type WB (Wide Body)), while in Medellin (Rio Negro) it has a hangar with a dock for up to two aircraft type WB and one for type NB.
 
Line Maintenance: AVIANCA SERVICES is ranked as the largest and best aviation repair station in Colombia and it is also a IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certified airline, which makes it the first choice company in the provision of specialized aviation services to for other IOSA airlines or for companies that require high quality standards and plan to fly to and from Colombia.

Aeronautical repair workshops: for the provision of aeronautical services the company has more than 10 workshops with capacities approved by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency), UAEAC (Colombian Civil Aviation Authority); additionally Avianca Services has calibration and nondestructive testing laboratories, together with the ISO / IEC 17025:2005, ANSI/NCSLZ540-1-1994, ACLASS certifications. The company also has more than 3000 specialized tools to support aircraft maintenance needs, services for 538 approved part numbers; six techniques of NDT (non destructive testing) and fourteen types of calibrated units.
