Lviv Radio Engineering Research Institute, founded in 1956, is a member of the state concern Ukroboronprom. As of the 29th of December 2006, Lviv Institute has been a subsidiary of OJSC Iskra. The Institute specialises in the development and introduction of new equipment in the sphere radar and radio-technical systems. Its capabilities in that sphere extend to various purposes and to a broad range of wavelengths of up to 95 GHz. The company also engages in the research and development of armoured vehicle based command and control systems.
