ASTILLEROS Y MAESTRANZAS DE LA ARMADA (ASMAR), a shipbuilding and ship repair company dedicated to the repair of chilean navy units, domestic and foreign ships and naval systems; the manufacture and repair of national security systems; and the development of ships and naval devices for the Chilean Navy and third parties.

Throughout the years, a non-stop activity has allowed the Company to maintain the operability of the Chilean Navy units, as well as obtain the recognition of domestic and foreign ship-owners.

The Company is organized in three industrial plants located in Punta Arenas, Valparaiso and Talcahuano, the latter being one the biggest in terms of facilities and capacity. The Corporate Head Office is situated in Valparaiso.

In total, ASMAR employs approximately 3,000 persons, including engineers, technicians and administrative personnel.

ASMAR is committed to environmental preservation, therefore adopts the necessary measures towards pollution control and the handling of industrial solid and liquid waste. The head office and the shipyards are certified under the ISO-9001:2008 Quality Management System.
