HARBIN AIRCRAFT INDUSTRY (GROUP) CO. LTD. under AVIC II was founded in April, 1952. It is one of the 156 major projects during the “First 5-years Plan” of China. HAIG has won honorary titles, such as the “Significant Contribution Unit in the Aviation Industry in China” and “the Advanced Enterprise for Quality and Benefit in China”, etc.

HAIG has manufactured and sold more than 1,600 different types of aircraft in total and made significant contributions to the national defense.

With more than 50 years in the industry, HAIG has built up a variety of aeronautical products, including the Y12 general purpose aircraft, the H425 civil helicopter, the Z9 military helicopter, the HC120 helicopter and the ultra-light ERJ145 regional jet aircraft through cooperation with EMBRAER Brazil. Now, HAIG has become an important aviation enterprise in China and a component supplier for worldwide famous aviation enterprises such as Boeing and Airbus.

Today, HAIG has established a first-class manufacturing system in China and has built up strong independent development capabilities, thus becoming a renowned development and manufacturing base for helicopters, light and general-purposed aircraft and new regional jet airplanes in China.
