Established in 1992 and restructured in 2001, KARNATAKA HYBRID MICRO DEVICES LTD. (KHMD), has emerged as a leading provider of thick film hybrid technology solutions for electronic modules in high-reliability applications for more than a decade. Based on a strong set of fundamentals and with more than 300 man years of experience in the aerospace and automotive domains at senior levels, the Company has successfully indigenised a large number of devices and electronics modules for its aerospace and automotive customers.

From complex hermetically-sealed microcircuits used in aerospace and defence applications to high-volume automotive control modules, KHMD hybrids are designed and manufactured for maximum reliability in the harshest environments. In these applications operating temperatures of 170 - 180 degrees centigrade are common-place. The Spacegrade hybrids require 15-year on-orbit reliable operational life.

The Company has the heritage of more than 30 million devices supplied for Automotive, Aerospace, Electronics & Telecommunication Applications.

The Company is also an established Electronics & Manufacturing Services provider and have been manufacturing complex Avionics equipment, such as Mission Computers, radars Computers and Display Processors for more than a decade.

The Company has been forayed into solid-state lighting electronics catering for aviation, defence and commercial high-reliability applications.

With state of the art facilities for the manufacture of Thick Film Hybrid Microcircuits, approved by the Department of Space and in-house Test and Evaluation facilities, the Company offers turnkey solutions.
