MILITARY

May & Scofield have a long history of developing electronic systems and equipment to meet the stringent demands of the Military sector. Their engineering team have extensive experience in meeting very aggressive environmental and EMC targets and products developed for Military use include: Central Power Management unit for a 7/11 tonne 4x4, 6x6 multi-purpose off-road vehicle; 24volt Instrument Panel and Instrument Cluster with CAN J1939 interface; Blackout mode system including a Blackout Control Module and a facia mounted Blackout Warning Module compatible with night vision systems; NATO Trailer Interface Module designed to allow a 24v NATO standard trailer to be towed by a 12v vehicle and fitted as original equipment.; A range of COTS units modified to meet Def Stan 59-41.1 (Land Class ‘A’) by way of electronic filtering and mechanical shielding. The units included the Instrument Pack, Immobiliser Unit, Engine Control Unit and ABS Control unit and these units are all fitted as Original Equipment by the vehicle manufacturer.

AEROSPACE

The stringent Quality systems employed by May & Scofield are particularly appropriate for the demanding Aerospace sector. Their engineering team has extensive experience in meeting the challenging performance, weight and EMI requirements of this sector. Products developed and manufactured include a range of compressor motor controllers, complex board assemblies for the Eurofighter climate management system and the electronic controller for the Joint Strike Fighter pilot cooling system.
