PT Transavia Otomasi was established in 1977, and initially focused its business in the aviation industry, catered the demands of aerospace and engineering products in Indonesia. After over twenty years establishing solid reputation in the industry, TU is today a provider of aerospace, telecommunications, engineering, and office system products in Indonesia and other countries in the region.

TU is an authorized distributor of Rockwell Collins, supplying the products and implementing communications and navigation system. TU is also a representative of General Motor’s EMD, providing the supply of high-performance diesel-electric locomotives. TU also represents some industry leaders in their respective product and service lines, namely Raytheon International for radar, radio communications, tracking system, and integrated air traffic management system; Hawker Pacific for transport aircraft; EuroAvionics for aircraft navigation systems; and Samyung for navigation and radio communications.

PT Transavia Otomasi has played a very important role in the acquisition and engine conversion from piston to gas turbine of the Sikorsky S-58 Helicopters for the Indonesian Air Force. TU has been instrumental in the sale of Lockheed Martin Tactical Aircraft System’s F-16 Multi-Role Fighter to the Indonesian Air Force. It has also successfully marketed several different kinds of executive jets and aircraft engines to customers in Indonesia and other countries in the region.

This early success was followed by TU’s next milestone where the company placed GE aircraft engines on new jets purchased by Garuda Indonesia, the state-owned national flag carrier, and the Allison AE2100C engine on the N-250 turboprop commuter aircraft that was built by PT Dirgantara Indonesia (formerly know as Industri Pesawat Terbang Nusantara, IPTN), which is also a state-owned aircraft industry.

The company soon acquired representation of several major aerospace corporations in the world. Beginning with Rockwell Collins, TU has been appointed as an authorized dealer of avionics products, supplying communications and navigation system, and spare parts. TU also represents Electro-Motive Division of General Motors, providing a line of high-performance diesel-electric locomotives. For more than twenty years now, TU has served as the Indonesian representative for world-class aerospace, radio communications, transportation, and engineering products.
