PT Len Industri (Persero)

PT. Len Industri (Persero), develops and markets electronic equipment for different industries. The company offers radio transmitters, railway signaling systems, electronics for defense, power electronic systems for electric trains and solar power generation systems. The company is based in Bandung and was initially founded in 1965 as LEN (National Electronics Institute), to be later transformed into a State-Owned Enterprise (SOEs) in 1991.

Since then, Len is no longer an extension of the National Electronics Institute (LEN), but it has become a professional business entity under the name of PT Len Industri. Len is currently under the coordination of the Ministry of State Enterprises. During this time, Len has developed businesses and products in the field of electronics for industry and infrastructure, and has demonstrated experience in the fields of:

• Broadcasting, for more than 30 years, with hundreds of TV and radio transmitters that have been installed in various regions in Indonesia.
• Telecommunications infrastructure network that has stretched both in big cities and remote areas.
• Electronics for defense, whether by land, sea, or air.
• Railway Signalling systems in various railway lines in Java and Sumatra.
• Power Electronics systems for electric trains.
• Solar Power Generation.

PT Len Industri is a leading player in the development and application of industrial electronic equipment for the defense in Indonesia today. Len has successfully developed a tactical communication equipment system that has a hopping matrix specifically designed to reduce the risk of interception by other parties. In addition, the company designed sophisticated surveillance equipment and combat management systems. Additionally the company has developed the “Transponder TPO TLM – 01” an under-water moving target used in anti-submarine warfare exercises.
